Foundations Family Childcare is a licensed, home-based program that has proudly served Colorado families since 2004. Our program has participated in Colorado Shines and is rated at a Level 4.
Birth to age three is a critical period of growth and development. Our approach is relationship-based and developmentally responsive, creating a strong foundation that supports children as they grow and transition into their next stages of learning.
Children are encouraged to explore, play, and learn through child-led experiences in a safe, nurturing, and family-centered environment. Foundations Family Childcare values strong partnerships with families, recognizing that raising children truly takes a village. In addition to responsive care and meaningful learning experiences, we provide nutritious, well-balanced meals that support children’s health and overall well-being.

My name is Stacey Carpenter, and I am the owner and operator of Foundations Family Childcare. I am also the proud mom of three amazing adult children, who were the inspiration behind starting my program.
I opened my licensed, home-based childcare shortly after my second child was born, after experiencing firsthand how difficult it can be to find high-quality care. From the beginning, my goal was to create a place where families feel confident, comfortable, and supported when leaving their children. While I never planned for childcare to become a lifelong career, over the past 20-plus years it has grown into a true passion and an integral part of who I am.
I am deeply committed to caring for and educating children during the most critical years of their development. I believe in advocating not only for children, but also for their families, and in building strong, trusting relationships within my program.
In December 2023, I graduated from Aims Community College with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
Outside of the childcare setting, I enjoy spending time with my husband and relaxing at home with our dogs.
